Also known as the Platinum Red Torpedo Barb and Platinum Roseline Shark, this unique variant of Sahyadria denisonii boasts an exquisite, A shiny platinum body that does not have striking red and black markings but is instead shiny white like snow in winter. Its elegance and rarity make it a highly sought-after gem among aquarists. While the wild-type Denison’s Barb is already striking, the platinum strain elevates its beauty to a whole new level.
This fish has become increasingly popular in the aquarium trade, and selective breeding programs have been established to maintain and enhance the platinum coloration. Like its wild-type counterpart, the Platinum Denison’s Barb is peaceful, hardy, and well-suited for most community and planted aquariums of appropriate size.
