The Halloween Vampire Crab (Geosesarma sp.) is a rare and captivating ornamental crustacean prized for its vivid, otherworldly coloration. With its deep purple carapace, striking deep purple claws, and bright yellow eyes, this species resembles a living gemstone—perfect for aquarists seeking something truly unique.
This group of small Freshwater/terrestrial crab come from Indonesia where they inhabit areas of freshwater water inside the dense jungle – either slow rivers or small lakes with lots of heavy vegetation around them. They are omnivorous eating a mixture of protein and vegetation in the vivarium insects dead or alive will be readily accepted as well as crab pellets.
